New Year

The old proverb says "we plan, God laughs" but if you really want to make things interesting, let God do all the planning without asking any questions. I have always been a person of faith (that's not what this blog will generally be about, but hang on its critical to how we got here) but like anyone else, before getting on board with whatever plan God had in store there were a lot of questions, negotiations, stubbornness, etc.

But what happens when you give complete obedient faith a try and be willing to just listen, no questions asked? Turns out, you can find yourself doing things you had never thought you'd do and realize that His plans are bigger and better than anything you could have come up with on your own. Two months ago we decided to be open to whatever opportunities came our way.... and come they did.

Today, two short and absolutely crazy months later, we are starting out a new year, in a new house, with a new career path, and most of all a new perspective. I'm glad you're here, along for the ride as we simplify our life, make plans for the next house build, and focus on the things that are really most important.
